We offer Literacy and Numeracy Enhancement to students who have challenges grasping key learning concepts. Students who enter this program are identified based on ongoing assessment data and teacher observations/feedback. Students within the program participate in small group explicit teaching delivered by an experienced teacher to provide them with the necessary skills, concepts and knowledge to support their learning.
Assessment
Students are continually assessed and are required to meet a set criteria in order to be eligible for their participation in the Learning Enhancement program. Our Learning Enhancement Teacher works collaboratively with your child’s Classroom Teacher to ensure the learning needs of your child are communicated and catered for to support their progress and achievement. Families are contacted by the school and permission is granted in order for your child to participate in the program. Learning Enhancement lessons run for 30 minutes a session twice a week focusing on core literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge.
